Imagine a detective novel. One that the audience is supposed to 'solve'. (An Ace Attorney game does this example nicely.) Now imagine 'the detective', the character who solves the crime. Everywhere they go, a murder happens. Every person they meet, they're hiding some sort of secret. Every time, they deduce the secrets and discover the murderer, from clues that leave everyone else baffled. In realistic terms, the 'detective' would see everyone and everything as 'things' to be solved instead of as people, and would always expect to be proven right in their intellect, again and again and again.

That's Furudo Erika, and she's well aware that she's 'the detective' and she loves every second of it. In a very meta way.

But, that outlook is always hinged on doubt. Maybe she's not 'the detective'? Maybe she won't be proven to be absolutely right 100% of the time? Maybe the world doesn't revolve around her...?

Anything that would even hint that is the case would devastate her.
